Dora’s Peacemakers Quilting Ministry presented a Quilt of Valor
to Colonel North.

Former U.S. Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North
visited Barrel of Books and Games in Mount Dora, FL, Tuesday June 17, 2014, for
a book signing with his latest book “Counterfeit Lies”. During the book signing
Peggy Smith and Jan Allen of First Baptist Church of Mount Dora’s Peacemakers
Quilting Ministry were honored to present a Quilt of Valor to Colonel North.
In addition to the Quilts of Valor which are delivered to
our wounded warriors at military hospitals, the ministry also makes quilts for
foreign and home mission projects, SBC Disaster Relief, Hospice Facilities,
Battered Women and Children’s programs, Project Linus, and, Orphanages. The
ministry has been blessed to provide hundreds of quilts of comfort in its 18
year history.
